Position : System Engineer ( Engineering Division)
Specialization: Operation and maintenance of network and servers infrastructure.
Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, Engineering Division.
Provide post-sales maintenance services aiming to expectation.
Education: Bachelor's/Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or equivalent
Experience: More than 3 years relevant working experience preferably in SI provider environment. Hands-on experience in managing IT faults and problem solving.
Scope of Work:
• Provide 2nd level off-site and on-site troubleshooting isolation and resolution
• Cover 24 x 7 x 4 maintenance operation
• Maintain up-to-date customer IT information documents
• Cooperate with customers, helpdesk, service manager, project manager and vendor in problem solving.
• Supporting the preparation of maintenance contract content
• Supporting IT improvement activities for customers
Necessary Skills:
• Handle upgrade / migration projects in the Microsoft platform NT/Windows 200/ Windows 2003 / Windows 2008
• Hands-on in system server (Win2K/Unix/Linux) admin and maintenance
• Handle migration projects in messaging system like Lotus Domino and /or Microsoft Exchange
• Well versed in at least one of the following technologies such as 2 Factor authentication, Large scale Wireless deployment, Unified Messaging, VOIP implementation, SSL- VPN, Server Virtualization, Clustering and Load balancing, Blade systems, Multihoming ISPs, Disaster recovery solutions, Secure Web Gateway solutions, IPS / IDS, End Point Security.
• Fundamental knowledge in networking and switching and routing
• Fundamental Knowledge in security solution like Firewall, IPS/IDS and Antivirus
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills
• Relevant technical certification preferred.
