RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for shipbuilding project including planning, co-ordination, engineering deliverables, project management, execution and construction completion
• Manage pre-project engineering, pre-qualification cost estimation, tender bids, contract negotiation, project start-up and facility set-up
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for favorable pricing and deliverables, project cost evaluation, budget allocation, contract evaluation, contract confirmation and authorize purchase of project related equipments, materials and spares
• Discuss technical issues with surveyors to meet respective class requirements
• Responsible for smooth operation and maintenance of heavy machineries, equipments and yard facilities to achieve minimum downtime and higher utilization
• Ensure projects are executed successfully within contractual schedule, budget and in accordance with technical specification
• Play an active role in cost control, safety control, quality control and manpower resources to meet project requirements
• Customer relationship building, procurement of project materials, hiring of staff and development of subordinates
• Lead and direct cross functional teams to deliver projects within constrains of schedules, budgets and resources
• Comply and maintain all safety regulations and requirements
• Project scheduling, coordinating pre-commissioning and organize activities through design, implementation, organization till completion stage of the project
• Participate in client meeting, site meeting and weekly project progress meeting in order to present project progress reports
• Conduct internal audit regularly to meet the company’s ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards

REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering / Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering or Naval Architecture
• Minimum 3 years experience in marine project management
• Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Ability to strategically plan, forecast and manage the workforce in the yard
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Have passion for understanding both the business and technical aspect of the projects
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to work under pressure, hardworking, honest and able to create close rapport with clients
• Able to interact with people of all levels
