RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, manage and oversee new ship construction
• Study engineering, design and construction drawings to ensure compliance to project requirements
• Monitor and inspect shipbuilding work on daily basis at site and highlight defects or non-conformance issues and ensure corrective measures are adopted
• Leading a team of engineers and designers to provide engineering support to shipbuilding activities
• Review designs of different sections and ensure compliance
• Ensure all operations carried out conform to high quality & safety standards and meet customers’ contractual expectation and within budget
• Responsible in monitoring the process of projects to ensure timely delivery of assignments while maintaining standards and cost effectiveness
• In-charge of Quality Control in new shipbuilding projects, including system testing, commissioning and sea trial
• Submit progress report to management
• Conduct internal audit regularly to meet the company’s ISO 9001 standard

REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering / Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering or Naval Architecture
• Minimum 3 years working experience in shipbuilding or in heavy industries such as shipyard and construction industries
• Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, effective writing and computing skills
• Possess strong perseverance and enthusiasm
