The GM is responsible for leading all activities of the company in order to meet and exceed the key objectives of the company, including:
Sales growth
Profitability
Technology development
Personnel development
Asset utilization
Manufacturing excellence - delivery, quality, inventory turns, waste reduction
Environmental compliance
Safety and employee well being
* In this role, the GM will manage all functions of the company, including technical development, sales, engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, financial, and human resources. While overseeing these functions the GM will work with key company personnel to:
Set goals for all direct reports and functions.
Hire, train and develop staff to ensure all critical functions are achieved.
Manage the team’s performance versus goals thru daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reporting systems.
* In addition to managing all key functions of the company, the GM will be expected to be a direct personal contributor in the following areas:
Product/market strategy development, including direction for technology roadmap.
Key sales presentations and negotiation of major customer contracts.
Directing continuous improvement efforts such as Lean/Six Sigma.
Reporting progress/performance to Managing Director China.
The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and experience.
* Excellent bi-lingual communication skills (Chinese/Mandarin and English)
* High energy, self starter.
* Highly entrepreneurial.
* Quick study with a strong intellect.
* Impeccable integrity.
* Extensive experience with highly engineered component design and production. Preferably metal stamped and injection molded parts in a make to order environment.
* Have a minimum of 5 years of proven P&L experience.
* Knowledge of our customer’s applications, such as telecommunications handsets, connectors, and automotive electronics.
* Seasoned leader and developer of people.
* Above 35 years old.
