Key Responsibilities:
• To conduct discussions with customers to identify their requirements and design solutions that best meets their needs. Solutions would include hosting and managed services solutions.
• To perform technical presentations of proposed solutions including data center design and managed services solutions, highlighting the technical and operational benefits to customers.
• To design solutions and prepare responses to Tenders / RFPs / Proposals and provide effective responses to technical clarifications.
• To co-ordinate with implementation / operations teams on solutions design and its ability to be effectively supported.
• To escalate pre-sales technical issues to equipment principals or 3rd party vendors.
• To test proposed designs and solutions where applicable.
• To support seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations.
• To organize quarterly knowledge briefing sessions for new Account Managers.
• To provide pre-sales technical sales support to Sales teams so as to enable sales, and meet the total sales targets for Managed Services.
• To collate customers’ feedback / requirements for the product management team to improve the services offered.
Functions:
1) To work with the Account Management teams and participate in the sales cycle on Managed Services opportunities
2) To facilitate and bring together all the various resources whether internal or external to work with the Corporate Account team to bring each corporate customer’s project to a successful closure.
3) To work with Solutions & Technology partners to generate more customers’ referrals / sales to SingTel.
4) To own and continuously improve the Managed Services sales kit (e.g. sales presentation slides, FAQ, pre-sales processes, etc)
Challenges:
1) To be responsible for entire Managed Services sales targets through participating in / facilitating Managed Service sales opportunities.
2) To have the ability to sell effectively in an IT-Telco convergence environment where basic knowledge in both industries is a prerequisite.
3) Having the maturity and perseverance to overcome multiple hurdles, and internal paradigm swifts to influence new business directions.
Qualifications:
1) You should possess a recognized Degree in Information Technology / Telecommunications / Electronics Engineering / Computer Science. You should have at least 3 years relevant experience.
2) Strong technical and design knowledge of voice and data communications products/services such as Cisco / Avaya PBXs, IVRs, ACDs, routers, switches, etc would be advantageous.
3) Affable personality with natural ability to work well in both an independent capacity; as well as being team-oriented with colleagues in a multi-cultural environment
4) Professional and confident in interacting with both internal and external customers, and demonstrating a positive and outgoing personality
5) Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
