Total Literacy Singapore is a major franchisor of Total Literacy International which is based in Australia. It was founded by Educational Psychologists; and franchises Learning Centres in Singapore, Malaysia,Indonesia, Thailand, China and Australia. The I Can Read Total Literacy system is a proven method of teaching literacy which is being used in schools in Singapore and over 30 Learning
Centres through Asia and Australia. Learning at I Can Read is ability-based and outcome-focused. It uses a unique method of teaching reading which means students learn to read quickly and easily. For independent readers, advanced programmes are aligned with the syllabus of the country in which the Centre is located. The programmes are based on 20 years of research and classroom experience; and developed and supported by Australian Educational Psychologists.

Total Literacy seeks teachers on a continuous basis to train and place in Centres throughout the region. It offers contracts; assists teachers to obtain the relevant Employment Pass; and find accommodation.
Preferred teachers need to have a relevant degree, some teaching experience, and be a native English speaker.
Classes are limited to 8 students in designed, air-condidtioned classrooms with all materials provided. Programmes are designed and there is little preparation.
